Sara Menker

Sara Menker is the CEO and founder of Gro Intelligence, a groundbreaking software company tackling global food and agriculture challenges, such as food security and climate change. Gro Intelligence aggregates vast amounts of data into a single platform, offering a comprehensive and timely overview of global agriculture. Time Magazine recognized Gro Intelligence as one of the 100 Influential Companies in 2021.

Prior to founding Gro, Sara worked as a Vice President in Morgan Stanley’s commodities group. Starting in commodities risk management, she later transitioned to trading, where she skillfully managed an options trading portfolio.

In addition to her entrepreneurial pursuits, Sara is deeply engaged in philanthropy and leadership roles. She serves as a Trustee of the Mandela Institute For Development Studies (MINDS) and the International Center for Tropical Agriculture (CIAT). Recognized for her leadership, Sara has been named a Global Young Leader by the World Economic Forum and is a fellow of the African Leadership Initiative of the Aspen Institute. Currently, she contributes her expertise as a member of the UN Secretary General’s High-Level Advisory Group (HLAG) on Climate Action.

Sara holds a B.A. in Economics and African Studies from Mount Holyoke College and the London School of Economics & Political Science, as well as an M.B.A. from Columbia University.
